  • Restaurants donate their old fryer oil to BEAU, instead of disposing of it in other ways

  • Oil becomes tax deductible as long-term recurring donations

 

  • All UCO collected is converted into cleaner burning bio-energy such as biodiesel and straight vegetable oil (SVO) biofuel

  • Recycling provides lower-cost UCO for small companies producing biofuel

 

  • Locally produced, lower-price biofuel becomes possible

  • Biodiesel priced lower than diesel increases the adoption rate of bio-energy

Diesel Hybrids

Requesting auto makers develop and offer more diesel-electric hybrids :



  • The same concept as locomotives where a diesel generator creates power for battery banks and electric motors that drive the axels

 

  • Emit lower emissions and are very eco-friendly  when fueled with biodiesel

 

  • Becomes very viable as the supply of lower-priced biodiesel increases

B20+ Campaigns

Encouraging diesel fleets to use a higher blend of biodiesel than EPA requirements   

 

  • The EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard mandates a minimum volume of renewable fuels mixed in fuel sold in the United States

 

  • If municipalities and other diesel fleets use B20 (20% biodiesel) or higher, that will make a positive difference in exhaust emissions 

 

  • Biodiesel easily mixes with petroleum diesel and can be pumped directly into a fuel tank containing diesel
