an environmental 501(c)(3) advocating cleaner fuels
Earth Day should be everyday, not just April 22nd.
Our programs for clean, renewable energy are a part of that philosophy. Bio-energy is a sustainable, green alternative to petroleum fuels to reduce air pollution and other negative environmental impacts (BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, etc).
One of our efforts is recycling old cooking oil for use as biofuel, such as biodiesel or heating oil. Every drop of used cooking oil can do a world of good when recycled into biofuel.
Help the Environment, Save Money,
and Receive Tax Deductions !
Restaurants can look at used cooking oil (UCO) in a new way and change how they dispose it. Instead of thinking of it as a waste product and paying for removal, view UCO as a recurring donation that BEAU picks-up for free. This concept started over 10 years ago by alternative energy nonprofits throughout the U.S., and it is fully compliant with Federal tax laws.
-
Your used fryer oil becomes classified as tax deductible, non-cash donations per the Internal Revenue Service :
-
Receive written acknowledgements each year per location(s) for your tax records
-
Collections are timely, reliable, and according to applicable regulations
-
Pick-up schedules based on the needs of each donor restaurant
-
All oil is recycled into clean burning alternative energy
- BEAU is a 501(c)(3) and used oil has market value.
- Restaurants are making charitable contributions without compensation from the nonprofit organization.
- No goods or services provided by the charity in return for the contribution(s).
- According to IRS rules, simply picking up UCO donations is the same principle as collecting donated household items left outside your home.
